Pharrell and adidas first started their collaboration team up back in 2014. Since then it has become one of the most conducive partnership endeavours in sneakers. After the first “Diamonds and Dollars” Stan Smith collab, many more highly-desired sneakers have fallen under this line. Pharrell’s Stan Smith-inspired Tennis Hu sneakers debuted last year. This was a more of large production piece, so it was more available and affordable than some of PW’s limited editions. With the mega entertainer’s colourful and fun-loving touch blended in the German brand’s craftsmanship, adidas is moving their lifestyle footwear to a bold new direction. The pack brings two sneakers in two colour iteration, primarily red and yellow. The shoes take original aesthetic from the previous Tennis Hu sneakers. The woven like constructed one-piece mesh upper that has a high tongue, and heel collar to work instead of pull tabs and light-weight patterned midsole and outsole are the examples of it. But to create new personal characteristics of its own, the new sneakers add some key features. Suede panels detailing in grey accented appear on both the lateral and medial side on each of the sneakers forefoot. Also, tonal leather patches are placed around the eyelets. They add an extra layer of style and texture.

Both the sneakers have a black patch on the heel where you can find the Pharrell branding in white. Adidas Trefoil logo hits on the tongue tag, multicoloured insole and the outsole. A sock-like lace fitting gives the utmost comfort wearing these shoes.
