Here’s a treat for the animation lovers! Nike Air Max Susan Missing Link comes with clear hints from the new stop-motion film created by Laika Studio, Russia. The movie is called Missing Link that features an eight foot tall, covered in fur Mr Link from Pacific Northwest. His adventure to Shangri-La in a quest for his long-lost relatives and his journey with an explorer Sir Lionel Frost and Adelina Fortnight are captured via stunning stop-motion animation. Laika films are for everyone, including the adults. The message or the story fit people from all walks of life. This time, The Air Max Susan showcases some features from Air Max 1 to bring out hints of Missing Link.

The colour cue of this Air Max takes shots from Mr Link’s appearance, and it’s apparent. His bottle green shirt-top and brown-yellow plaid coat inspire the colour palette. Furry layers and tan or white leather overlays appear to mimic him as well. This crep is named Susan as a callback to Mr Link’s attempt to hide his identity from Frost. Follow @FastSoleUK for more.

Designer Tinker Hatfield and animator Michael Berger play with the brown, green and yellow patterned outfit of Mr Link for this Air Max. The colours also represent the region of Pacific Northwest. His tuxedo and shirt, his furry body, and his unique character add to this kick. Laika studios can make us notice the tiniest details in their films. Just like that, the cuff links that he wears are popping up as eyelets on this kick.

White mesh underlays, inner lining, and white leather mudguard let the green textile overlay and plaid layers on front and collar. Dark brown leather tongue and midsole, green tongue label, yellow brandings, tan hairy suede heel cap, red and cream leather Swoosh logos finish the look.

Nike Air Max Susan Missing Link releases June 11th via listed UK and European retailers.
