Recently, NIKE, Inc. has prepped part of its Be True collection. Its latest collection includes a series of footwear and apparel inspired by Pride Month. Meet one of them; the Nike Cortez Be True 2022.

Fifty years ago, the pair made its big debut. And this time, it comes back with a different colourway. However, it does not deviate as much as sacai‘s 4.0 proposition does. As you can see, textile and fabric join forces for a bone colour upper. As a result, the multi-coloured Swoosh gets the floor to steal the show.

On the other hand, “BETRUE”-branding on the tongue tab and sock-liner enjoy the 3D-reminiscent style. Regardless, it directly features a medley of colours that nods to the LGBTQIA+ community. Conversely, serrated sole units underfoot mostly appear in an off-white colour that shows in an up-top pattern. Lastly, the contrasting details around the rear half of the midsole take the colourful route to complete the look.
