Earlier this year, Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER approached the silhouette with its Chaos and Balance theme hitting two colourways. Since then, Pink Denim has surfaced, enhancing this upcoming Blue Denim look. Unlike the Air Jordan 1 ’85, which drew in much applause upon its debut, the Dunk High 1985 has flown quite below the radar. But that hasn’t stopped Nike from lining up new releases, such as this recently-surfaced “Blue Denim” colourway. Though it may also function in a form reminiscent of the 1985 original, this pair’s substances and shades are some distance from BTTYS-inspired.

The overlays, for starters, show a thick, slightly-pilled slab of denim, which is evenly faded to a mild wash. And unlike a genuine pair of jeans, the stitching opts for darkish blue threading alongside the facet of each of the previous panels. Rounding out the development is a sequence of tumbled leathers. This white finish complements the adjoining laces, tongue, lining, and outsole. Also, the midsole, however, opts to emulate age via mild yellowing. Similar to the unveiled “Pink Denim,” a white leather-based base returns alongside an antique cream midsole. Mild blue denim hits the overlays with darker blue distinction stitching. This continues at the Swooshes whilst the outsole includes a similar colour of mild blue, finishing the look.
