Winter solstice is the day when the earth’s axis tilts away from the sun; this marks the longest possible night and shortest day of the entire year for those living in the Northern Hemisphere. Nike is dressing their new Dunk Lows in “Team Orange” and “Crimson Bliss” flair to celebrate this event. Furthermore, sun rays are placed throughout the suede and leather upper, and we can also see a sun motif on the lateral heel panels.

The construction of these Nike Dunks comes in a combination of leather and hairy suedes. Firstly, the leather underlays are perforated to keep your feet fresh. Next, the suede overlay boasts a bright Team Orange colour complementing the lighter orange on the leather underlay. Moreover, we can see embroidered sun rays across the upper. Nike Swoosh matches the suede on the upper. Again, we can see embroidered sun rays surrounding the Swoosh. The suede on the heel counter dons a darker shade of orange with a sun motif in yellow. The heel tab features the Nike branding in yellow. Moving on to the insoles, you can notice Crimson Red hues. The sock liner on the left shoe has “21 12 21 15:59” branded on the insoles to signify the exact date and time of the winter solstice. The detail reappears on the right tongue tag and a setting sun graphic.

Additionally, the lace unit and the tongue match the light orange on the underlay. This beautiful pair is complete with a bright orange outsole and a white midsole. So, spice up your winter outfits with this fiery mix of orange and red. You can be sure the spotlight will be on when you go out dressed in this sassy pair.
