It marks 40 years of introducing the 990 silhouettes by New Balance. Back then, these running shoes were considered expensive for using a combination of supple suede and lightweight mesh fabric. Fast forward to 4 decades later, the Boston-based brand continues experimenting with the model, upgrading the colourways and technologies. Thanks to these experiments, we now have what it is today. A recent release under the collection includes the New Balance 990v1 Made In USA Brown. The latest offering enjoys an autumn-friendly colour palette while receiving OG features. For example, the classic construction and engineering we will talk about below!

As you can see, most of the silhouette feature suede material. For the record, the 990 series has seen incredible traction recently. All credit goes to Aimé Leon Dore's Teddy Santis, who has been leading the label's MADE in US division since 2021. And for this pair, the designer does what he is best at. Firstly, the team gives the upper a clean neutral look. As shades of cream and brown make the colour palatte, we get the perfect pair to kickstart our autumn wadrobe! On the other hand, the N logo on the lateral sides adds contrasting pop in black.

In addition, classic New Balance branding appears on the tongue in red. Lastly, an ENCAP-infused midsole unit completes the build. It ensures you get unmatchable comfort and cushioning so that looking good feels good!
