First of all, the vintage Nike Waffle One ranges have been under modern improvisation and engineering for more times than Nike has actually released kicks! These running shoes are now focused on more autumn and winter colour palettes and season-friendly materials. One more thing to give credit for is the use of fully recycled waste!

You already know the current hype for recycled and eco-friendly pairs if you have been keeping up with the Nike releases so far. A simple pinwheel logo popping up from any Swoosh silo will tell you if it’s recycled or not. For example, this Nike Waffle One is made out of particles that are wasted in factories. The manufacturers used up materials they usually threw away and created this masterpiece. The walls are still flexible and breathable, thanks to the top-tier engineering tech.

The Waffle One trainers are known to have stretchy mesh on the top half. But this version comes with a winter-perfect build with Rattan nylon textile. The nylon layer is quilted so that it gives the shoe a comforter vibe. Brown kelp hues take over the suede overlays on the forefoot, eyelets, and the synthetic heel counter. White quilt-textured Nike Swoosh on the sidewall matches the lightweight foam midsole.

Finally, the black outsole comes made with Nike Grind recycled materials. Spot the bright red-blue flags on the midfoot and the “Toasty” tag on the insole for the winter season.
