Ever since Andrew Chiou shared the images on his Instagram, sneaker town has been in awe! After all, the upcoming release is an innovative tribute to the memorable character and uses one of the most iconic shoes as its silhouette! Ahead of the Super Mario Bros. Movie, it is just what you need to add to your sneak shelf.

Nike’s “What the” edit

The first thing that catches eyeballs is the pair arriving completely mismatched! Staying true to Swoosh’s popular “What the” series, the shoes differ in the colour game but include everything that tributes to the iconic character.

Find the kicks indulging in colourful patchwork while nodding to all our favourite icons with their deets here and there! It looks like the team brought the Mario universe to life through the way we love the most: sneakers!

While a Mystery Box graphic covers the toe box, a Mario Cap reference adorns the heel counter. In addition, the serrated Bullet Bills grace the mudguard, and the Toad’s polka-dotted mushroom hat appears on the medial panels.
