Manilla-based TITAN is one of the Philippines’ major stewards of basketball culture, a function that’s led them to tap into numerous Nike and Jordan Brand collaborations. Now, TITAN has linked up with the Jumpman once more for a new take on the Air Jordan 2 Low. The low-cut Air Jordan 2 is almost completely tropical in its colour scheme.

Jordan Brand has constantly been spotlighting the Air Jordan 2 over the previous year via several collaborations with some of the sneaker fans’ largest names. At the end of 2022, the late Vigil Abloh’s Off-White label remodelled the Low. And later, Chris Gibbs’ Union crafted a duo of Highs. Ever since then, rumours have been roaming around! Naming people from J Balvin, Maison Château Rouge and Nina Chanel Abney as upcoming collaborators. Next up, Philippines-based retailer, Titan, has had their AJ2 Low leaked!

Decorating its Soft Sail and Creamy Coconut Milk base with Saftey Orange and Chlorophyll accents. Hits of island green are laboured in as well, with the most excellent fabric choice being the corduroy mudguard. Continuing the brand’s relentless push for Michael’s 2nd signature silhouette, Titan taps into the subsequent big title to collaborate on the model. Merging the likes of OFF-WHITE, Union, and J Balvin. For their release, Titan has hammed up their tropical area for a launch that donors summertime hoops.

Bright white leathers and impartial suedes fill the upper. Previously, a slew of green, teal, and orange accents floated through the accents and overlays. The guards characteristic a corduroy completion and mid-foot trim in mossy green. At the same time, teals take over the eyelets, tongue liner, and tropical-inspired Titan hangtag. Oranges arrive at the Wings motif, liners, and outsole heel. The pair is then done via a peppering of muted green flecks alongside the midsoles and three units of laces in white, green, and orange. And that sits atop the leather-and-suede upper. Speckled midsoles. And along with that is a customised leather-based hangtag that reads “Int’l Flight Club”, which combines the outer-facing 1/2 of the aesthetic.

In basketball, like in life, it’s regularly what’s on the interior that counts, so TITAN has loaded up the internals of their Air Jordan 2 Low with deets that, frankly, supersede the outward-facing ones. The insoles show oval heel badges atop a full-colour “mural” that features an array of faceless hoopers of all colours, shapes and sizes. Titan has opted for a fascinating fabric mix. The uppers have a white leather-based base with suede wrapping the ankle. The spotlight is the green corduroy toe box, orange hits and speckled midsole.

It’s no longer an actual representation, but four players are sporting numbered jerseys. And these are #14, #22, #23 and #41, which nod to Cynthia Cooper, Clyde Drexler, Michael Jordan and Dirk Nowitzki. The print replicates the customised tissue paper. Along with the box shows each a globe design and postcard-style elaborations that nod to global hoops hotbeds.
