It is stamped in the history of the biggest sports event in the world.  The match was well played, and the win was well deserved. This World Cup Final 2022 will have our words fall short. But, it will not make us get over the magic of last night. So, here is us telling you All You Need To Know About The Golden Boots Of The Golden Boy Lionel Messi From World Cup 2022.

The big news is all over the globe; the greatest player of all time took home his long-overdue possession! However, Messi and co did what Argentine fans have been dreaming of since 1986. After scoring seven goals and bagging the trophy home, the team had more to receive. Its shining star, the greatest to ever play the beautiful game in the field of Qatar, was rewarded the Golden Boots.

After adidas released his new shoe, Messi was seen wearing actual golden boots throughout the World Cup. His adidas boots decorated the stadiums of Qatar in full glory. For starters, the gold-coloured X Speedportal Leyenda took inspiration from the shoes the Argentine wore on his debut back in 2006. As a result, it gave rightful tribute to the GOAT’s fifth World Cup. Besides, the ‘Leyenda’ is Spanish for legend. Hence, it fits the tribute to the 35-year-old with a record of  seven Ballon d’Or. Conversely, Messi first wore the boots in Argentina’s first match against Saudi Arabia on November 22. To maximise his performance, the shoes have elements for speed and agility, with a carbon-fibre add-on to provide a big spring without the weight.

On the other hand, Messi’s big break was wearing Nike. In 2005, teenage Messi led Argentina to the U20 World Cup triumph with six goals while sporting Nike T-90 boots. And now, he hasn’t worn any other brand since signing a five-year contract with adidas. Messi committed to a lifetime deal with adidas in 2017, allegedly for £9 million annually.

In the World Cup of 2006, Messi wore F30s in Germany. Unlike his current type, these had a wonderful tribute to Diego Maradona and were white/blue rather than gold.

After 4 years, Messi upgraded to F50 adizero footwear, a style he had worn for years in various iterations in South Africa.

Later on in Brazil, Messi continued to use the F50 adizero, but they were more striking and helped the Argentine win the Golden Ball. Despite his team losing to Germany 1-0 in the final, Messi’s rewards did not stop pouring.

Lastly, Messi broke tradition during this tournament in Russia by donning Nemeziz 18.1 sneakers with the name engraving of his son Thiago. Regardless, they did not bring much luck; Argentina only had wins in one of their four games.
