The recent CBA event in China blew up because of the unveiling of Nike Air Fear Of God 1 “String”. It comes with an exciting colour-blocking palette of Oatmeal, white and black. The TPU panels covering the shoe is apparently a cue coming from Air Huarache. But this version is more foot-friendly for the wearers. The ultra-supple leather and rip-stop nylon upper make this boot appear aggressive. But at the same time, the entire silo is comfortable and perfect for daily rides.

Jerry Lorenzo gave us his best takes of Fear Of God 1 boots. This “String” kick even seems like it’s following the colours cues of Light Bone Black and Black Grey from January 2019. But the blocks are separate. Pitch-black takes over the upper most part of the shoe and joins the tongue tab. As a result, the laces come off tonal black. The TPU midfoot cage that surrounds the boot is milky white just like the Air midsole underfoot. The blue Air bubble and Nike Swoosh finish the look.
