Jaden Smith Boasts An Unreleased New Balance Silo At Coachella

Jaden Smith never shies away from making an impression, and now he has been making some crazy headlines. For his unexpected Coachella appearances, he debuted what seems like one of his next footwear ventures. On both weekends, when Willow, his younger sister, performed at the Indio music festival, the sneaker town was blown away when the 24-year-old American rapper joined his folk. Case in point: Jaden Smith boasts an unreleased New Balance silo at Coachella on stage, and the sneaker town has not slept ever since!

The New Balance Vision Racer, Smith’s first hallmark silhouette with the company, is now joined by its unannounced sequel after a long absence that last saw the introduction of his remade New Balance 574. As seen in the images from his Instagram account below, the new offering is a modern take on the low-top, clad-leather alternatives from the company’s on-court sneak gallery.

Decoding the deets

Although the low-cut version of the popular New Balance 550 has a very similar general form, the uppers look to be entirely made of leather. This version has a printed “NB” logo on the quarter panels in place of the traditional “N” badge to match the tongue branding, collar accents, and lace tips. The MSFTSRep seal on the heels serves to identify Smith’s streetwear brand. Lastly, a rubber outsole resembling the 550 silhouettes is mounted on a midsole with well-known cut-away elements.
