While the Bulls won six NBA titles, Michael Jordan won seven while donning seven distinct styles of his iconic sneaker. The Nike Jordan 6 Rings pay homage to each title, and now the silhouette is back for yet another GS iteration. For the upcoming release, Grind rubber replaces the soles in the New Jordan 6 Rings.
It’s time to look beyond the courts and playgrounds to the bigger picture, planet Earth. As Swoosh reimagines its popular silos through sustainability, with the launch of Move To Zero, it unveiled various programs, including Space Hippie, Next Nature, and Grind Rubber. Although the latter hasn’t been used much over the previous year, the latest silhouette will mark its comeback with these kids’ Jordan 6 Rings.
In contrast to next nature, grind rubber is more noticeably recycled, with shreds of various colours covering its whole surface. The solitary unit features tiny flecks of red, blue, yellow, and green, clad into a dark grey foundation. To counteract this, the colourway chooses a muted colour scheme, with the top and bottom halves of the shoe being covered in black and white, respectively. The remaining branding components also follow the neutral route, except the chenille patch, which enjoys a mix of vibrant colours.
