Kick Game’s Sneaker Heaven Now Opens in Newcastle! The newly-opened Kick Game store in Newcastle, owned by U.K. rapper Fredo, sells sneakers and related apparel. However, Fredo is being accused of enticing kids to gamble their savings to win expensive sneakers. Children have reportedly been banned from the store amid claims that they are using the premises as a gambling den. According to a report by The Mirror, the rapper who has collaborated with Drake and Giggs is alleged to have given out free scratch cards to youngsters at his store. With the promise of winning expensive sneakers, Fredo invited kids into his pop-up shop, where they scratched the card for a chance to win.

There has been an increase in reports about young kids playing Kick Games and the likelihood of them losing money or getting addicted to gambling on sneakers. Parents claim that most of these juniors come from disadvantaged backgrounds and cannot afford such high-end shoes, making it harder for them to give up playing at Kick Game once they start.

The new store joins existing flagships in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Liverpool, but this Newcastle-based location is the biggest space the company has used to date. The two-floor location has been decorated with its signature style; bright lights, marble-like interior spaces, and a limited arrangement of sneakers. The 1540 sq ft. retail space in Eldon Square shopping centre is Alicia Thompson’s – Kick Game’s CEO – proudest accomplishment. She said that it had become Newcastle’s go-to spot for sneaker and streetwear culture because of its exclusive collections from renowned labels such as Nike, Supreme, and Off-White.

While there appears to be nothing wrong with Kick Game’s new store, some people are voicing their concerns about the company and its role in encouraging young children to gamble. Fredo himself has been accused of enticing kids to spend all their savings on sneakers that they may not even like so that they can get a chance to win an expensive shoe or sneaker worth hundreds of pounds. Some parents have even claimed that their children have been banned from entering the store due to these allegations and have warned other parents about the potential dangers that Kick Game poses for kids.

Kick Game’s founder, Robert Franks, added: “With this being the seventh store to open, and as it approaches its 10th anniversary, Kick Game only looks to be getting stronger. The arrival of Kick Game in Newcastle seems to be the start of a new era for streetwear in Northern England.” Follow our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to know more
