Hiroshi Fujiwara, the streetwear designer and influencer, and his label “Fragment Design” came up with ten Nike collabs sometime around when Virgil Abloh did the same. Somehow for some reason, Hiroshi’s collection never saw the dawn. We got all the street crashers from Abloh’s Off-White, and we never really looked back.

However, Hiroshi just updated his Instagram feed with his designed sample of Air Jordan 3 “The Ten”, and we were taken aback! It’s true that this silo has no flashy colours or anything that captivates. Some would say the colourway even looks old-school. Let’s clear it up for those who don’t remember that this sample is the second iteration from Hiroshi’s Fragment Design Air Jordan 3. The first one came out last year with the hints from 2014’s Fragment Jordan 1. Any new sneaker addict must need time to connect the dot and realise the family tree of this collab! So, we’ll put a pin on that for now and dive into the details of this Anthracite suede Jumpman. The rough suede upper body has micro-pores on the eyelets and collar for maximum airflow. Similarly, the leather overlays on the heel and forefoot make sure the silo is ready to strike! A lightning bolt logo from Fragment and scrip-stamp pop on the heel. Finally, the AIR unit finishes it off.
