Pharell Williams and adidas collaboration have brought some substantial successful sneakers for a long time now. Every piece of this collab team is becoming far higher than the previous one. With theatrical theme resonating and design patterns with different regional aspects, the PW adidas line has a created a different approach to sneaker design. For the new pack, Pharrell and Adidas have determined to draw their inspiration from the colour and lifestyle of Africa. With the African tribes and the mother nature as an influence, the new Pharrell x adidas collaboration to drop in new colourways.
The new Afro Hu NMD is coming in three different iterations. As Yeezy Mafia’s twitter, this sneaker pack will be part of German Three Stripes’ fall 2018 collection. The sneakers have colour, patterns and important individual meaning. The knit upper comes in red, aqua and yellow colour with a grey touch. Rubber lace holder that are welded all the way to the midsole is in individual blue, purple and black contrast. Adidas’ best ever Boost midsole sets on each of the three pairs. As the Afro name is related it reflect on the African tribal designs on the upper. Yellow, orange, and red outsoles sit beneath.
As most of Pharrell adidas editions have messages on top of them in different languages, these three also continues it. The Orange pair has “Milele Mbele” written on top, in the Swahili language which means forever, the Red pair says “Mother Land”. And lastly, the Yellow pair shows “Empower and Inspire.”
