Nike Air Max 1 Is Set To Make A “Royal” Entry For The Air Max 2024 Day

Just as we start getting over the glorious Air Max day of this year, Swoosh brings ablaze among sneakerheads for the next year’s celebration! Completing a mighty 10 next year of celebrating the iconic Air Max technology, Nike is bringing back some holy grail staples! The latest buzz has it that the Nike Air Max 1 is set to make a “Royal” entry for the Air Max 2024 day.

The Birth of the Max Day

Before we jump into business, here is a quick headstart you should know as a sneak-head. The first shoe with clearly visible air cushioning, released in 1987, a revolution, a masterpiece, that’s the AM1 for you.

Created by Tinker Hatfield (take a bow, the GOAT), it was the first Nike sneaker with a visible airbag and the beginning of one of the most recognizable franchises in the Swoosh’s history, inspired by the inside-out design of Paris’ Pompidou Center. Since then, the Air Max 1 has developed into a phenomenon in culture, loved by both sneakerheads and everyday wearers!

As a nod to the line-up’s beginnings, Nike kicked off Air Max Day with an Air Max 1, showing the Tinker Hatfield creation in the rightfully titled “3.26” colourway. The pair resembled the original version of the silhouette perfectly but for holiday-specific branding and a midsole that was Volt in colour.

A “Royal” return.

Albeit it took Swoosh 10 years, the OG silo is making its big comeback. From what fans anticipate, the upcoming release will take all the cues from its eldest sibling, with the colour scheme paying a nod to the OG. However, the only part that strays from the OG design is the volt midsole.

Look for the kicks to boast a palate of deep royal blue, black, and white that gives it a sophisticated and regal appearance. The sneaker upper is constructed of superior leather and mesh, enhancing its visual appeal and making it sturdy and breathable. To provide optimal comfort and support, the shoe features a cushioned midsole featuring Nike’s recognizable Air Max technology(duh!).
