Converse has redefined sneaker experience. The American brand has produced shoes that have made history. Chuck Taylor is the name that comes everytime we think of Converse. It is like the man of myth. The 2nd highest selling shoe in history is the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.
Now, what to say about Off-White and the man Virgil Abloh? He was already a star in the fashion industry. When Nike and Virgil decided collab together, sneaker enthusiast was freaking. And when “The Ten” collection hit the stores it was an instant sellout.
So, Nike decided to expand Virgil Abloh’s success with their subsidiary Converse brand. Choosing the brand most famous line, the Chuck Taylor All Star to give it the deconstructed high fashion look that has been the highlight of this collection.
The Off-White Converse Chuck Taylor will be dressed in Clear and White on the uppers. Abloh applies his idea of “GHOSTING” to the Chuck 70 for his design, which utilises a translucent upper so that to expose the details of the 1970’s designed original silhouette. The highlight of this design is the translucent material used on the uppers to tie into the deconstructed tune. This Off-White design is completed with an icy translucent rubber outsole.
It is announced that the Off-White x Converse Chuck Taylor will release on 12th May at select Nike’s UK and European retailers and Nike’s website, Converse’s website and also at the Off-White site.
