2023 may be sweeping past too fast, but the Jumpman is leaving no stone unturned to sweep the fans off of their feet with the retro releases. Up next in their makeover of a past-classic-gets-new-colourway is an AJ5! In this read, we bring you on foot look of the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy”.

AJ5 2022 in a nutshell

In addition to being manufactured in collaboration with CLOT, PSG, and hip-hop mogul DJ Khaled, the Air Jordan 5 had a very busy year in 2022, which saw the return of cherished hues like the “Green Bean” to the forefront. And now that those have passed, the Jordan model has its sights set on bringing the heat in 2023. The most recent buzz includes a vintage release of the silhouette in a rich, delicious hue!

Blast from the past

The upcoming release is still a favourite among many sneakerheads, even if it wasn’t nearly an original when it first appeared in the middle of the 2000s. Lucky for us, the 2023 Retro resemble its 2006 cousin in terms of design (fr, look at the images!)

Find Deep Burgundy, Light Graphite, and Silver to make up the palate for the silo. Buttery suede upper panels with a “Deep Burgundy” colour scheme reminiscent of aged wine. Although the pair appears laceless, the Grey tongues sport Jumpman insignia in the titular hue. More “Flint Grey” details are added to the spiky moulds on the midsoles, while ice bottoms are finished off.

The silo will come in sizes for men, kids in elementary school, preschool, and toddlers.
