Puma And Roland Teamed Up To Drop Two RS Sneaker

Puma is always bringing a fresh view into the sneaker environment. This global sports brand is continually studying their roots so that they can inspire their current Sportstyle collections. The RS sneaker line has been a game changer for them. Coming to the year 2018, Puma is completely rebooting the RS design by taking suggestions from the past and blending with the future to move on. The German brand is patching up with Roland, the renowned Japanese manufacturer of electronic musical instruments for their next fantastic release. Puma and Roland teamed up to drop two RS sneaker.

The Original Running System ‘RS’ was first introduced in 1986. It was the result of the innovation of a high-quality damping technology. The RS-100 was the first model that incorporated this sneaker with a unique design that was ready to meet the demand for high-tech stability running shoes. The RS-0, which was released in the following year, also impressed the newly-emergent runner scene with its classy, streamlined design for the 80s.

Roland is always changing the music industry with its futuristic innovations. The 80’s hip-hop music worldwide was reshaped by their famous creation the TR-808 drum machine. An iconic instrument that is celebrated around the globe for its legendary status. The Japanese brand has been credited for their approach with research and technology to discover musical machinery like none other.

So when Puma decided to collaborate with Roland, they thought that nothing else could be the best paired than the theme of the TR-808. The RS-100 reflects a more interesting classic retro look in a modern material with the mix of leather, suede and textile on the upper with eye-catching yellow, orange and black colour combo.

This RS-0 is a complete reboot of the original. The upper is dressed in black leather with a perforated toe area. Silver colour arrives on the lower heel liner and the mudguard tab. Side walls are adorned with coloured stripes in red, orange, yellow and white.

Both the sneakers have “Rythm Composer TR-808 Computer Controlled” printed on the midsole. Roland and Puma branding lands on the tongue and insole.
