This month, the Montreal-based entity is reuniting with New Balance to drop another sleek 990v3 team-up.

The first 990v3 of the 21st century for the heritage New Balance brand. The 990v3’s layout represented a marked visual departure from the now-classic features of the v2 and v1. So the introduction of a more spacious overlay layout with breathable mesh and advanced cushioning built a modern and streamlined visual for the legendary silo”. JJJJound wrote in its New Balance 990v3 collab description.

The latest JJJJound’s New Balance 990v3, brown taking over the suede upper and mesh matched with black tones on details like the ENCAP-cushioned sole. After releasing a teaser last month! So the JJJJound and New Balance unveiled their collaborative 990v3 “Brown and Black”. So a follow-up to “Olive,” the upcoming silhouette sports smooth suede overlays. And mesh underlays on the upper dressed in a chocolate brown hue. Since the New Balance’s “N” emblem stamps the upper in its signature spot, I’d assume the JJJJound emblem will grace the insoles, per usual too.

The studio’s tonal navy New Balance grey 992’s, 990v4, and its clean white BAPE STA’s boast noise-free. Muted colour schemes that prove quiet flexes every time you win the race. New Balance has a thing for opting for the silent killer of the sneaker world. As collaborator Aimé Leon Dore we all know love hitting lovers with the subtle flex spins. Evident with the beef-and-broccoli 993s and upcoming 550s.

Breaking up the look are stealthy black tones on the silhouette’s signature “N” logo on the sides, the tongue, sock liner, and shoelaces. The lacing system, tongues, interior lining, and the “N” logos feature a start black tone for added contrast. So like previous JJJJound’s New Balance collabs, subtle JJJound branding is embellished on the footbed. Completing the visual is a black Encap-cushioned midsole and a pairing outsole. The “990” hit on the laterals, and JJJJound branding on the heels round off the footwear style.

JJJJound leans on an earthy ensemble for its design for this forthcoming instalment. Mesh underlays and the buttery suede overlays across the mid-foot, rear end, and the front styles with a muted brown hue. Sitting adjacent to this are solid black notes covering the laces, tongues, interior lining, piping and the side N logos. Branding is present through the usual “990” hits that appear on the lateral heels and the spines. Which are fitted with “JJJJound” spell-outs and New Balance emblems. Bright white branding from the Canada brand also shows face on the insoles.
