Prepare for the adidas Ultra Boost Mid Ronnie Fieg Multi, which is one of 2017’s most anticipated releases. It will be available just before we enter the new year. Will you be able to obtain this form on New Year’s Eve – it could serve as a fantastic festive beginning! Don’t get too worked up about this; it’s a really small release with a guarantee that it’ll sell out fast. It’s part of the adidas Consortium x Ronnie Fieg “Aspen Pack,” which also includes a winterised sneak.
This ‘Mid’ Ultra Boost is likely to become a collector’s item as it is the first of its kind. It’s made of thick textured wool rather than Primeknit. This wool adds extra warmth and insulation in an effort to make this shoe even more winter-ready.
The boot has a higher heel, but the difference is not significant. This yarn extends much higher up at the ankle and does not appear to be any different than a walking boot sock, and it feels just as nice. The classic overlay on the heel adds that second skin feels, but this is an “Uncaged” release. To put it simply, it’s a pair of Ultra Boosts that are built for cold weather. The outsole also has more rugged traction to deal with slippery conditions.
The outsole is built with a lightweight rubber compound that provides excellent traction and durability. Three stripes of welded branding will be visible on the side of the shoe, in a translucent grey colour, much like it is on many Uncaged releases. Of course, underneath those energising cells lies that innovative re-energising technology.
Ronnie Fieg adds one more design innovation to the shoe by placing a deeper tread outsole below the foot. It’s an excellent match for this tough and long-lasting winter surprise. The best thing Ronnie Fieg did in 2016, according to him.
