We don’t know about you, but the news of Nike Air Force 1 Low NAI-KE Blue releasing soon has us on edge! This Swoosh silo is decorated with the traditional Japanese stitching method “Sashiko”, and it looks just as gorgeous as you’d expect. Sashiko craftsmanship has a long history and heritage in the fashion world. The intricate weave and stitching pattern have previously decorated some other Swoosh pairs. For example, the Nike SB Dunks, Blazers, or Jordan Jumpman boots. Now it’s time for the AF 1 trainers for running to shine.

If you ignore all the intricate design details coming from vintage Japanese traditions, you can’t ignore that this Air Force 1 Low is actually a part of the ongoing Nai Ke series. You can see how gorgeous and elegant this Air Force 1 looks because the Sashiko decoration takes place on a chic navy blue upper body. First of all, the entire silo wears the midnight blue tones all over, including the tongue tab, overlays, inner lining, and deubre. While the blue tones slightly change their shades depending on the panels, the laces and the inner lining wear light gloss blue. As a result, the Sashiko stitches on the sidewall, Nike AIR tongue label, and the midsole are all white.

Sashiko literally means “little stabs”, and the Sashiko style shown on this Air Force 1 silo is like a small thread of stitches on the sidewall. You can also see “The One Line” written on the inner tongue and heel. You will also notice the tongue tab and collar counter shows off some white Sashiko details. And the tonal blue Nike Swoosh lies on the sidewall just as usual.

It’s a special release, of course. So, the materials are different and high-quality. This Nai-Ke isn’t made of leather this time, and velvety suede crafts the entire silo with mesh inner lining. Finally, the white Air Force 1 midsole and black outsole finish it. This package will contain a Nai-Ke branded all-blue handkerchief as well.
