The American designer, entrepreneur, and DJ has touched many Nike Swoosh releases so far in his sneaker-designing career. All of those kicks have sold like hotcakes! This particular Swoosh Air Force silo definitely appears a lot different from all the previous designs by Virgil Abloh. After all, the multi-hyphenate never really repeats a unique design. Ever since Abloh’s debut with Nike in his “The Ten” collection, the duo has only been upgrading, improving, and tweaking stuff for Air Force 1 trainers. And this mid-top White Grey version is the ultimate proof of that. So, what’s so special about this “Frankenstein” theme?

First of all, knit material crafts the slightly transparent, synthetic upper body. The lockdown straps on the collar pop with greyscale tones, matching an additional set of laces. The design looks gorgeous and kind of laidback with the white tones all over. However, the story turns when Virgil Abloh decides to spice up Bruce Kilgore’s iconic midsole.

You can see a new style of the support structure underfoot, defying the classic Air Force 1 base. It comes looking wavy with colourful and aggressive spikes on the outsole. The stylish cue of mismatching colours, orange Nike Air unit on the heel, and the Helvetica text of Off-White finish it off.
