Michael Jordan attended Emsley A. Laney High School while growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina. The school's mascot was the Panther and that is where he made a name for himself on the basketball court. He wore his Laney team jersey number 45, which is being immortalized on this Air Jordan 1 Retro 'Laney'. It's also where he would eventually go pro after graduation as well!

Celebrating its 30th anniversary since the debut year of 1985, these kicks are inspired by MJ's high school days. It features an overall colourway reminiscent of NBA uniforms from that era with a mix of white leather and retro royal blue suede overlays for their supper. This AJ1 sneaker has a sleek leather upper in Laney High School's blue and yellow team colours but with an alternative "Reverse Laney" twist. The shoe's base is Varsity Maize Yellow, while overlays are crafted from an eye-catching Game Royal Blue. A vibrant Nike logo graces the tongue tab in bright yellow, matched by the Wings logo stamped onto the collar flap, also shaded in sunny yellows. Finally, white midsoles paired with Game Royal rubber outsoles complete this stylishly designed sneaker!
