Nike Air Max 97 GS Black Yellow FD9777-001

The Nike Air Max 97, often considered the "Silver Bullet", is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. This return has been widely anticipated and received, with many wanting to see the classic design back in circulation. This particular release has been highlighted on the back of a billboard in Stockholm, Sweden. The Nike Air Max 97 GS Black Yellow is set to be released sometime during the next year.

Christian Tresser's original designs for the LEGO Batman sneakers included a dark and gloomy aesthetic, similar to Will Arnett's voiced Dark Knight. The sneaker's deep black mirrors the character's nearly all-black outfit, with a mesh upper, tongue construction, sole unit, and surrounding cracked leather overlays in the consuming colourless hue. The first thing you'll notice about this shoe is the Batman-themed silver detailing on the nylon sock liner and adjacent pull tabs. The Swoosh at the forefoot is also miniature and yellow, making the bat symbol pop. The midfoot and tongue Swooshes are both brightly coloured yellow, while the Air Max 97 tooling is see-through. Finally, the Air Max unit is yellow and translucent. And it's safe to say that the upper doesn't do much to promote this "bio-alien" theme either—it's a little too dark and, at times, monochromatic. The shoes even feature an infrared lens inside their box, which sports the animated bat signal and alluringly calls out "Batman".

There is no official confirmation for dropping the Nike Air Max 97 GS Black Yellow. But we predict it to be sometime early next year.
