ASICS is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the GEL-LYTE™ III OG running shoe. The latest forthcoming release takes its inspiration from the original shape and construction of the 90s release.

The ASICS Gel-Lyte III comes dressed in Orange and Lichen Green. It is certainly the most iconic colour pairing of all-time. And would look fab when styled with any outfit, particularly monochrome ones. ASICS has given their Gel-Lyte III a flight jacket quite a few times now. Here, though, the style appears at its most simple. 

Let us take a closer look at the pair. The upper comes in a forest green tone, coating both the suede overlays and the mesh base. You will notice the tiger stripes darken in black, adding contrast to the orange that outlines the more robust panel. The laces, too come in black, complementing the design. Moreover, the eye stays, the branded heel tab, and the ASICS logos on the insole also come in the warmer tone of orange.

ASICS Ltd began initially as the Onitsuka Co. It was founded on 1st September of the year 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka. He began to manufacture basketball shoes in his home town of Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
