Thanks to the help of quite a lot of partners, adidas EQT is back in the spotlight, thus bringing about the return of many a fan-favourite silhouette. Their next project enlists the features of solebox. Together, both the retailer and adidas are dressing the previously unreleased EQT Proto in a racing suit inspired colourway, calling back to the shoe's original name. And we're certainly in love! What about you?

 Both by way of material and aesthetics, the shoe takes ideas from past releases. As you can see, the shoe features yellowed, see-through cages covering most of the exterior. Underneath, grey and white neutrals run rampant throughout the upper, dressing translucent synthetics, suede panels and canvas. Reflective hints and pops of red are then used to symbolise the sport's adrenaline and speed.

 The collaboration is packaged to resemble a model car. Since the Prototype was initially supposed to be called the “Racer” model, the European retailer took this notion to heart and crafted this makeup with a palette that channels the aesthetic of vintage racing suits.
