The first three NBA championships Michael Jordan won, for which he was named Finals MVP, are where the moniker Jordan MVP 678 comes from. The upper of the shoe features design cues from the Air Jordan 6, Air Jordan 7, and Air Jordan 8 to give homage to all three of his iconic sneakers from those years.
The sole section takes inspiration for the design from the AJ6, while the tongue directly references the AJ7. The fixture itself and the multicoloured overlay on the heel are evocative of the AJ8, concluding the fusion of aesthetics from each of the three famous silhouettes.
