On the other hand, the form is instead honouring the future with its most recent appearance, which is not only on one but also on two distinct colourways. The Air Jordan Series 02 Dear Future Pastel comes in the colours of LSU and the Charlotte Hornets, two programs that MJ owns. The former team's colours are prominently displayed on one pair, while the latter is showcased by way of teal and purple accents. What makes these shoes unique is their story and construction, as they feature a mix of materials on the upper.

Between their neutral hues, the pairs include a range of pastels and earth tones. A variety of pastel and earth tones define the pairs. On one, in particular, a light violet gowns the counter and forefoot's canvas strip, while tan marks the adjacent embroidery, contrast stitching, and lining. The shoe then builds upon this with white as a contrasting element to the other's silver finish. However, aside from this and the blacked-out motif, the colour scheme is not very distant since it includes light brown accents.
