Tom Sachs is well known for the Mars Yard layout in the world of sneakers, first launched in 2012 and then in 2017. Before 2022 ends, the 55-year-old American designer looks ready to add yet another tally to his NikeCraft partnership. That with the General Purpose Shoe launch recently surfaced in a mostly-yellow colourway. Like most of Sachs’ creations, the fourth chapter in the collaborative Tom Sachs x NikeCraft line is made for everyday wear. With the layout reminiscent of the OG Nike Killshot, the upcoming Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe involves Tom Sachs branding at the back of the tongue with the NikeCraft emblems on the insoles and outsole.

Tabs on the tongue and heel insert non-standard performance to the court-inspired model. Which has arrived on different Tom Sachs-branded Nike projects. Although dubbed the General Purpose Shoe, the sneaker appears like the Nike Killshot 2 with Tom’s contact delivered. The sneaker uses a darkish sulfur mesh base with the identical hue used in suede on the overlays. And the Swoosh features in white using Fuse. The fuse is all over the place again, surrounding the nubuck mudguard and the toebox. The white mesh tongue shows a tongue tag and pulls tabs comparable to the Nike Mars Yard sequence in red. The heel tab facets Nike branding in Tom’s handwriting, and the cupsole midsole comes in gum with a rugged black waffle outsole to end the sneaker.
