The sneaker industry has progressively shifted away from the loud, bold, and over-branded releases distinguished years back. So, changing them from the New Balance 550 to Tom Sachs’ General Purpose Shoe. And whilst many a collaborator has helped convey this to fruition, none have had as terrific of an impact as JJJJound, who’s blatantly indulged in minimalism with each and every one of their prior works. The Montreal-based studio, which used to be once a humble digital mood board 16 years ago, is sticking to simplicity with its latest pair of Reeboks: the NPC II.

Originally designed for the tennis courts, the silhouette is mostly reminiscent of its look in 1985, featuring the signature cupsole and exclusive white leather. And alongside stamping their title throughout the side in gold, JJJJound has created a few unique variations, which vary in everything from the stitching to the tread pattern. Look at the imagery below for a more specific vision of the JJJJound x Reebok NPC II. These are set to hit the JJJJound site. A wider international launch will observe on August 5th by Reebok.com and certain retailers.
