The Nike Waffle One has been ridiculed by some sneaker enthusiasts for looking too similar to sacai’s work with the brand. Still, the budget-friendly silhouette has gained a sizable following of its own through captivating colourways. The recent release of the heritage-inspired Nike Waffle One Natural Natural Light Chocolate line comes in the summer-ready hues of "Natural," "Light Chocolate", and "Light Bone." The mesh and suede upper construction indulge in a mix of off-white hues, with details like profile swooshes and tongue accents revelling in the spotlight. Below, a thick white waffle sole rounds off the look, with hits of black on the outsole and heel providing contrast.

The shoes are a clean white colour with rich brown contrast on the logos of the sidewalls. There is also a pop of orange around the tongue for a mix of colours that is appropriate for warm weather. The structures at the lower heel deviate from their surroundings in a truly cream colour that compliments the slightly-yellowed midsoles underfoot. The Waffle One's newest look features a vintage Nike Running-inspired waffle-patterned tread in mostly black, giving it a heritage feel for the 21st century.
