Nike Air Max 95 Double Swooshes Black Blue DQ0268-001

Although the Nike Air Max 95's 27th anniversary has yet to include a high-profile collaboration, the sneaker continues to be an essential component of Nike's product line. The latest example is this upcoming Nike  Air Max 95 Double Swooshes Black Blue colourway, which updates the classic silhouette with a more modern material story.

This new 95 features a blend of tan and green hues across its mesh and leather upper, with hits of 3M providing some contrast on the lateral side Swoosh. Additional details include black nubuck overlays, a white midsole, and a black rubber outsole.

The Christian Tresser-designed silhouette has recently been seen in a range of muted, autumn-ready off-whites and black and eye-catching, boldly coloured blues. The rich blue hue of the centre vamp overlays and the spine areas to which they are connected stands out, while lace loops and layered swooshes at the lateral heel add to the mix. The Air Max units bring some of the upper's signature flair to the foot, keeping things basic from Tresser's original design from 1995. The branding on the top of the tongue and upper heel area changes its usual layout in favour of playfully designed counterparts that appear to place the newest AM 95 in a special collection; this section puts "95" messaging on display that looks like a recently-seen Air Force 1 "82," which also featured a unique placement of its "82" branding. The Cargo Khaki Nike Air Max 95 is set to release on Nike SNKRS in Japan on September 21st, and a wider release is expected to follow soon after. Nike's "Have a Nike Day" Pack from earlier this year brought back some of the brand's most beloved and recognisable Air Max models from the '90s, including the Air Max 95.
